THEY can frighten the best of team… but is this why Spanish giants Barcelona are SO scary?

The Barca players put on their finest ghoulish lools and embraced Halloween following their 2-0 away victory over Getafe on Saturday.

A number of the first team squad donning has a decidedly spooky look in the Coliseum Alfonso Perez dressing room after the match.

Croatia international midfielder Ivan Rakitić later took to Instagram to upload pictures of these frightening footballers.

Mail Online reported that among the choices of disguise were Shrek and Frankenstein’s monster, as Barca revelled in their seventh league win of the season.

Luis Suarez and Neymar were on target yet again for the Catalan side and the result sees them move level on points with La Liga leaders Real Madrid.

Suarez and Neymar have now scored 14 goals between them in the absence of the injured Lionel Messi.  Suarez gave Barca a half-time lead, finishing coolly after collecting Sergi Roberto’s superb back-heeled pass.

Neymar then volleyed in on the hour-mark as last season’s treble winners kept pace with Los Blancos, who had beaten Las Palmas 3-1 earlier in the day.
