IF WE thought there was a lot of Jose Mourinho around yesterday, today’s gossip package positively groans under the weight of speculation around his Chelsea job.

The most damaging report is in the Mirror with a claim that his players now believe it is no longer a case of if the boss is sacked – but when…

The Sun report that Chelsea’s new boss could well be Pep Guardiola, the clear favourite with the bookies. That could be a runner…but Guardiola could take his pick of jobs if and when he goes from Bayern.

Meanwhile, back among the players, Dele Alli of Spurs could be a target for PSG – with Tottenham credited with a bid to sign Palace flyer Yannick Bolassie.

So here we go, Tuesday taking on a definite blue hue with Chelsea dominating – and our unique marks are there to guide you on credibility…

JOSE Mourinho is on the brink of leaving Chelsea with his senior players believing it is a case of ‘when not if’ the manager is sacked.
(Daily Mirror) 7/10 If the ear to the dressing room is well tuned, this could be bad news for Jose.

The club have begun to discuss the possibility of sacking the 52-year-old, but are mindful that his departure would cost £30m.
(ESPN) 10/10 Even for Chelsea, that’s a considerable chunk of compo.

Mourinho’s representatives are already investigating a move to Paris Saint-Germain or a return to Internazionale if the beleaguered manager is sacked by Chelsea.
(Independent) 6/10 Any port in a storm? Can’t see this coming off.

Pep Guardiola has added fuel to the fire that he could be moving to Chelsea by claiming his Bayern Munich contract is “not important”.
(Daily Express) 6/10 That may be true… but he could equally be off to Manchester City – or indeed somewhere else.

A shareholder of Ligue 1 side Monaco says the Portuguese has been approached to replace Leonardo Jardim as manager.
(Sport – in Spanish) 2/10 Not a chance.

Bayern Munich coach Guardiola is the overwhelming favourite to replace Mourinho if he is removed from his position.
(The Sun – subscription required) 1/10 No kidding… I don’t know how they worked that one out!

Mourinho may not even be in the dugout for his side’s Premier League game against Liverpool on Saturday, as he faces the possibility of a stadium ban following his latest Football Association charge.
(Daily Express) 2/10 His behaviour is putting him in under scrutiny almost as much as his results.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes has given his support to Mourinho, saying Blues owner Roman Abramovich would be making a mistake if he sacked him.
(Daily Star) 10/10 And he is spot on.

Alternatively, Mourinho’s job is safe. Abramovich is planning to review the under-fire manager’s position during the international break in November.
(Goal.com) 9/10 The voice of reason. But November must look a long way off for the Special One just now.

Paris Saint-Germain are lining up a move for Tottenham and England starlet Dele Alli, according to reports in France.
(The Sun) 4/10 Not likely, not in January nor the summer.

Tottenham will allow Andros Townsend to leave on loan in January and could once again make a move for Crystal Palace’s Yannick Bolasie.
(The Sun) 7/10 Like for like? But Spurs will have to stump up the money if they want to land Bolasie… the Berhino episode will live long in the memory of club owners.

Liverpool will struggle to land Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the transfer window after the in-form striker revealed he would prefer a move to Spain.
(Daily Express) 5/10 Klopp’s presence could be persuasive.
