MANCHESTER United, obviously, are in the news but how much more do we need to know about their interest in Antoine Griezmann? And the future of Wayne Rooney…?

We are certainly not interested anymore, so come up with something new chaps. We rate the daily gossip – and rate accordingly…

Jose Mourinho wants Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann  to form a new Manchester United strike partnership with Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata which offers Real encouragement in their pursuit of goalkeeper David de Gea. Daily Telegraph 4/10

Old News. We’ve been reporting this for weeks. Griezmann is a nailed on, but reports from Italy suggest Morata is keen to re-join Juventus in the summer.

Michael Carrick has been linked with Premier League newcomers Newcastle, with the 35-year-old said to be having a house built in his native north east. Sun 3/10

Nice romantic notion but if Carrick, who has been granted a testimonial (June 4), is offered another year at Old Trafford he will take it.

England forward Wayne Rooney has refused to confirm if he will still be at Manchester United next season, opening up the possibility of a move to the MLS or China. Daily Star 6/10

The more time he spends on the bench; the more he’s likely to think ‘enough is enough’ Are the likes of Fellaini, Lingard and Herrera any better than him? I think not.

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is being targeted by Turkish club Trabzonspor to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The Sun 6/10

After last night’s events, they are more than welcome to him. He is a liability.

Real Madrid forward James Rodriguez has reportedly already chosen his shirt number at Manchester United – the number 10 currently worn by Rooney. Don Balon, via Daily Express 3/10

Think you might be getting ahead of yourselves, chaps. Rooney himself will have the final say in the matter.
