WE’VE got the word on the transfer grapevine – and a few words of our own as the rumour mill goes into overdrive.

Everton have had a £30m bid rejected for Swansea’s Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson. Daily Mirror 6/10

Expect the Toffees to come back with an improved offer – Ronald Koeman is determined to land his Ice man.

Bookies have slashed the odds on Tottenham striker Harry Kane signing for Manchester United from 20/1 to 6/1. Daily Star 2/10

The bookies – and the paper – had better have a re-think. Kane is going nowhere. Not unless United are prepared to pay £200million.

Arsenal’s bid for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette must rise to at least £57m if they are to get the deal over the line this summer. The Sun 5/10

Even with money to spend, Arsene Wenger will not pay over the odds. Some sort of swap deal (+cash) involving Olivier Giroud might be an option though. It has already been claimed Giroud has spoken to the Lyon president.

Chelsea expect to get their summer transfer activity under way by completing the £35.2m signing of midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on a five-year contract. Daily Mail 7/10

This move is definitely on the cards and expect the Premier League champions to make a move for Alex Sandro too – for an even more inflated fee.

Crystal Palace are ready to back new boss Frank de Boer with a move for Manchester City front man Kelechi Iheanacho. Daily Mirror 2/10

No way Pep will let him go. He could be City’s main man next season.

Wayne Rooney should consider a move to China, according to former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson. Daily Express 5/10

Sven would say that, wouldn’t he? He has been the master of moving from club-to-club, country-to-country for the biggest bucks.
