Palace legend Kenny Sansom is delighted to see the Eagles go seven games unbeaten and can see that run lasting, at Swansea this weekend.

I’m over the moon with Palace’s unbeaten run. We’re getting crosses in and that’s what I’d been asking for. I’d mentioned it to Roy Hodgson.

The game before, against Watford, where we scored in the last minute, Zaha actually looked up and found McArthur. Normally Zaha doesn’t look up. I said after the game, in Speroni’s, that we didn’t play great but we won. It’s no use playing great and losing!

Some individuals didn’t play well against Watford and Leicester hammered Southampton away. So I thought we might have a hard time at Leicester, yet we went there and did great.

If you all do your job, then you become a good team. I’m sure if you ask Roy and Ray Lewington, they know we need to keep improving.

I’m pleased Benteke scored from a cross at Leicester, but I honestly still feel he needs someone else with him up front. Maybe someone experienced, or a youngster with pace. Maybe someone coming through, a young exciting project.

They’ve just to keep putting the balls into the box and commit some more in there. If you know that the ball is coming in, then you can be ready.

Zaha is a talented player, but you can’t just have one in the box, Benteke, you need more. A player like Benteke, if you get ten crosses into the box, he’ll get at least two or three on target.

Defensively, the confidence had gone, but they’ve improved. Roy and Ray will want the players to do more talking on the pitch. Talking to your teammates is so important. Palace can be a good team defensively.

Swansea away is next, before the tougher matches start again, with Arsenal and Man City at home. I’m confident in the team. Palace need to play exactly the way they did at Leicester, when they go to Swansea, but give five per cent more.
