The Premiership fixtures for 2015 – 16 are out, and it’s been out for less than a week now.  I’m sure we’ve all had times to mull over it, and no doubt like me you’re excited for the season that start already.  I cannot wait for the season to commence!

Game day starts on 8th August, let the countdown begin to either watch your favourite teams or just to the beauty that is football.  Okay, so we’re 47 days to go.

If you’re like me who enjoy watching wonderful football and beauty of the battle between some best teams in Premiership and Europe, so let’s take a stroll through the fixtures and see where there’re interesting bits to pull out from it.

Why don’t we start at the top six teams, I don’t know about you but my mind is already wondering where they will land by Boxing Day.  The Big Boys to watch for, but please note that these dates are subject to TV/Euro changes – nonetheless put these dates in your diaries.

Aug 8 Man Utd v Spurs
Aug 15 Man City v Chelsea
Aug 22 Arsenal v Liverpool
Sept 12 Man Utd v Liverpool
Sept 19 Chelsea v Arsenal
Sept 26 Spurs v Man City
Oct 3 Arsenal v Man Utd
Oct 17 Spurs v Liverpool
Oct 24 Man Utd v Man City
Oct 31 Chelsea v Liverpool
Nov 7 Arsenal v Spurs
Nov 21 Man City v Liverpool
Nov 28 Spurs v Chelsea
Dec 19 Arsenal v Man City
Dec 28 Man Utd v Chelsea
Jan 12 Liverpool v Arsenal
Jan 16 Liverpool v Man Utd
Jan 23 Arsenal v Chelsea
Feb 6 Chelsea v Man Utd
Feb 13 Man City v Spurs
Feb 27 Man Utd v Arsenal
March 1 Liverpool v Man City
March 5 Spurs v Arsenal
March 12 Liverpool v Chelsea
March 19 Man City v Man Utd
April 2 Liverpool v Spurs
April 9 Spurs v Man Utd
April 16 Chelsea v Man City
April 30 Chelsea v Spurs
May 7 Man City v Arsenal

Out of the top four teams and at the tail end of the season, Manchester United has the easiest remaining games.  In April and May, Man Utd is facing Everton, Tottenham, Aston Villa, West Ham, Leicester, Norwich and Bournemouth.  These are games they should win, but I think Tottenham Hotspurs may have a say in this.  Compared to Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City, Man Utd fixtures have fared better.

The three newly promoted clubs, Norwich, Watford and Bournemouth are in for a ride of their life.  Out of the three, Bournemouth has the run-in from hell; the hardest fixture at the tail end of the season.  First time ever in the big league and their last eight games are the toughest.  If they want to stay in this league, then they need to make an awesome start and win games from the outset.  They don’t want to be in the like QPR, who won eight games, draw six and lost 24 games and was out of the Premiership before you can say “Let’s the games begin”.  Also it’s not the kind of stats that will keep in the Premiership.  Bournemouth run-in from hell –

Tottenham Hotspurs (A) March 19
Man City (H) April 2
Aston Villa (A) April 9
Liverpool (H) April 16
Chelsea (H) April 23
Everton (A) April 30
West Brom (H) May 7
Man Utd (A) May 15

I feel for them, but I don’t think they want my sympathy especially now that they’re in the Premiership.  I’m sure Eddie Howe has a strategy in place for their opening games against Liverpool and West Ham in the first few weeks. I’m sure Norwich and Watford must be thanking their lucky stars that they have a fighting chance to salvage any mishaps during the season.  Bournemouth, go for it hard and fast!

In between of the Premiership game, the F.A. Cup is up for crabs again.  Also we have the Community Shield and Capital One Cup.  More importantly, there are also the Champions League and the Europa League.  And for our most talented players who have been called up for to represent their country, the qualifiers for Euro 2016.  All I’m going to say – “Come on England!”

Key dates are:

8th August – the start of the Premiership

15th May – Premiership ends

21st May – F.A. Cup Final

10th June – Euro 2016

We have a lot of football to look forward too, more highs than lows for some team.  And I cannot wait.
