IT’S hard for fans to know what to believe is going to happen with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer with so many conflicting reports doing the rounds.
According to the Sun, the super Swede is ready to commit to another year at Old Trafford because he wants to win the Premier League with Manchester United before calling it a day.
Meanwhile, the Express claims Ibrahimovic will walk at the end of his contract – and that United are already planning for life without him. Others claim likewise.
But as we’ve said for some time on Zapsportz, the giant striker – the club’s leading scorer by a country mile – WILL sign a new deal before the end of the season.
Ibrahimovic, who has won league titles in three different countries, has 15 Premier League goals to his name – 26 in all.
He missed the 3-1 victory at Middlesbrough but will be back to play a key role in United’s bid for a Champions League place. They are now up to fifth – four points behind Liverpool with two games in hand.
It has been reported that he is unhappy with the team’s showing this season, expecting more.
But is happy with assurances from Jose Mourinho and the club that United will be going all out for the title next season.
Zlatan met with his agent at the weekend and the Manchester Evening News reports that United’s star striker is ready to take up the option of another one-year deal.
When it comes to United inside stories they do not come much more reliable than the Evening News. So ignore what some of the national tabloids are saying.
Zlatan is staying!
