Former Manchester United forward Memphis Depay’s time at Old Trafford wasn’t a complete waste of time.

His £90,000 a week wages made him a very wealthy young man as this picture he posted on Instagram clearly shows.

Boxing nut Depay wished his idol Floyd Mayweather happy birthday whilst posting a pic of himself with pair of Louis Vuitton boxing gloves worth £3,700.

Dirty job but someone’s got to do it!

The Dutchman is now playing for Lyon in France’s Ligue 1, and has already got off the mark for his new club in the 4-0 win over Nancy this month. It won’t last.

Another former Manchester United striker – and fellow flop – Radamel Falcao put in a brilliant performance for Monaco in a 5-3 defeat at Manchester City earlier this week.

The result aside, he is clearly loving life in the south of France and hasn’t given up hope of turning the tie around in the second leg and took the time to troll one of his old United teammates on Instagram just two days after the Champions League clash.

He still keeps in touch with some of his former teammates from his instantly unforgettable year at Old Trafford.

‘Great general. Ander the sun is free hahaha,’ the forward wrote on Antonio Valencia’s photograph of Ander Herrera looking particularly pale in the gym.

Falcao only managed four goals in 29 appearances under Louis van Gaal in 2014/15 but he is showing signs of returning to his best once again in France. Incredibly, the South American star has already scored 24 goals for Monaco this term following a resurgent run of form.
