Chelsea captain John Terry seems to be showing no ill-effects of the ankle knock that saw him sit out the draw at Burnley on Sunday. The training ground blow saw Terry require stitches to his right ankle.
Reports suggest the 36-year-old will also miss the FA Cup clash with Wolves this weekend. Looking at these pictures I think they’re probably right.
But Terry has been known to play through the pain barrier now and, with David Luiz injured, Chelsea will need him leading from the back. As he has done throughout his career.
Terry has always put the club before his own personal ambitions or desires, and he’s desperate to have more game time after being left on the bench for more matches than he would like.
There’s talk of him leaving – and he probably will at the end of the season – but he will want to bow out a winner. A double winner (again) too.
