TORINO striker Andrea Belotti is emerging as one of Manchester United’s top summer transfer targets – if you believe all you read in the papers.
The 23-year-old, who has already scored 17 goals in Serie A this season, has been a revelation and if United are interested they are likely to face some stiff competition when the next window opens.
The Daily Star, via reports in Italy, claim United see the striker as a potential partner for another of their transfer targets, Antoine Griezmann.
If there is any truth in these rumours then it begs the question – what will happen to Zlatan? A one season wonder then off to China?
Marcus Rashford’s future could also be called into question and he has, reportedly, already expressed his dissatisfaction at a lack of game time, and is stalling on a new contract.
Pure speculation; he would be mad to leave Old Trafford. His time as United’s main man will come.
United’s interest in Griezmann and Belotti could push Anthony Martial even further down the pecking order so it’s claimed a move to Tottenham could be on the cards for Martial. As we reveal in our daily gossip column.
The player, however, will not come cheap, with the Italy international recently signing a new deal that saw an £84million buy-out clause inserted into his deal.
The player is also being tracked by Real Madrid so is likely to be a man in demand this summer.
Gazzetta dello Sport have suggested Real president Florentino Perez and Torino chief Urban Cairo could hold talks over the player this week, so United will have to act fast if they are to bring Belotti to Old Trafford.
